The Team – Leadership (Episode 3)

Posted on May 31st, 2010 by admin

Season 1

Coach is angry with the players and especially with Abbas, the new team captain for breaking the rules of the camp. They all look unfit to play a friendly match that is to take place later in the afternoon. The Coach picks 7 of the team members who look better and leaves out Ben and Oli who are clearly nursing a hangover. The match is to go on as scheduled, within a few minutes the other team scores. The Team is doing badly; they barely get past the defenders of the opposing team. Abbas asks Priest to foul one of the lady players. Priest is only too glad to do it. He gets a Red card and has to leave the pitch. Imani looses to the other team.

here’s this one from here where lity said the leafs sell the most:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080212040144AAbcXW2

and then here’s a more uptodate list of jerseys that sell the most:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080211133524AAqWKvX

so i’m just going to make my own list

Toronto Maple Leafs
Pittsburgh Penguins
New York Rangers
New Jersey Devils
Philadelphia Flyers
Detroit RedWings
Colorado Avalanche
Montreal Canadiens
Boston Bruins/Buffalo Sabers
and last but not least…i really want to say edmonton oilers but i don’t think that the revenue that they get from selling gretzky jerseys is enough for a team jersey revenue…and i want to say anaheim, but it’s in duck country. and you’ll notice there’s a lot of teams from the original six on the list…so my question is do people actually buy chicago blackhawks team jersey.

when i make a choice on the 10th team i’ll update this.

and to the other chick, yeah i would want to put the clagary flames on that list but we all know how strong the canadian dollar isn’t (forget about the last year), and just because it’s becoming a more popular hockey team to support, that wasn’t always the case. and i don’t want to put the sabres on that list either but i’m trying to think about the team, markets, and overall popularity, even through years that i wasn’t born. this is a time capsule type of question.

what is the best way to Raise money for a Womens Pro Football Team sponsors or investors?

Posted on May 29th, 2010 by admin

I am trying to buy a license from the Independent Womens Football league. I have to raise money to do this. What do you think the best way is to do this?

This is a Womens Pro Tackle Football Team and I need help raising money to do so. It can be a lucrative investment. Almost every city in the country has one. I want a quality one in mine. Any creative Idea’s on how to do this?

You have to find people who love sports, and who are willing to invest in sports even in the face of long odds.

It’s not an easy task.

Start with coaches … high school, college, pro … whomever is in your market. Ask them who their big supporters are … tell them why, don’t try to hide anything. They will help you find the money.

good luck.

Whats the worst team and player in the NHL?

Posted on May 29th, 2010 by admin

Statistically, what team is the worst and which player also has the worst stats in the whole NHL? Past and present?

Worst team:
Currently- The Islanders, as they finished last a year ago.
Past -1974-75 Washington Capitals 8W-67L-5T for 21 points

the Ottawa team referred to only played 48 games in 1994-95 due to the first NHL lockout.

Worst player: As stated , many players had zero points in a limited number of games.
Last season:
Defenseman Jason Smith on Ottawa played 63 games, only scoring 1 goal( happened to be a game winner in OT), zero Assists, was a -3, while averaging over 17 minutes of ice time. But he did have 123 Hits and 148 blocked shots (ranked 40th and 25th among defenseman, respectively)

Forward-Last year, Wade Belak played 53 split between Florida and Nashville, with only 2 assists while averaging around 5 minutes of ice time per game. In Nashville , he tied for the team lead with 10 Major penalities.

Goalie:
Many, but I’ll go with Johan Hedberg in Atlants, appeared in 33 games, starting 26 of them. He went 13-12-3, but his GAA was 3.49 with a Save% of.886. Even the Isles goalies were better than that, lol.

ALL-Time- Again, there are so many one-game wonders. For forwards and defenseman , I’ll throw out Len Wharton, who played 1 game for the NY Rangers back in 1944-45 and didn’t get on the stat sheet.

For goalies, I looked for a goalie that played one full game (60 minutes)
Ron Loustel played one game for Winnepeg during the 80-81 season and allowed 10 goals during his only 60 minutes.

Team building activities for elementary students?

Posted on May 29th, 2010 by admin

I need to come up with a team building activity for ages 9-11. I cant spend any money to buy equipment, but I know there are lots of ideas out there (ie: using wooden slats to move across the room…) I cant find any great ideas for kids and really appreciate any help ASAP!

There are many cooperative learning activities that you can do with your students for team building. Below are some links that may help you.

Does Minnosota love their team as much as Philadelphia loves the Eagles?

Posted on May 29th, 2010 by admin

The Vikings did not sellout for an NFL playoff game. Perhaps their were too many Eagles fans at the Viking’s dome?

Never in a million years would Minnesota be as diehard as Eagles fans are, that game would have been sold out same day the tickets went on sale if it was being played in Philadelphia.
