What is the best team building exercises for businesses?

Posted on April 29th, 2011 by admin

We have a smaller company, about 70 employees strong. The people who have been here from the beginning have formed a click or family almost. The new people are excepted overtime, but I feel as if they are being almost too exclusive at first. We will be doing a company picnic and would like to incorporate some team building exercises to loosen everyone up and allow them to get to know each other better. Are there any suggestions? Any exercises that work better than others? I would really appreciate it!

Team building is difficult with that size of a group. It would be easier within departments…

What is a good idea for a London Team Building Event Activity With A Difference?

Posted on April 27th, 2011 by admin

We want something a bit different team building event wise for an afternoon or evening event with alcohol and food but different to the normal stuff we have all done before. We are all city professionals.
Venue needs to be in central London or close to main line station

How about Le Dans Noir? It’s a restaurant where you experience eating in pitch black! Its fantastic and they do corporate events.

We went as a couple yet have never spoken to as many people we didn’t know even though we couldn’t see them so would think all your colleauges would have a great time. I chose the menu where you didn’t know what you would get, and it really tests your taste buds, it was nothing weird that you wouldn’t want to eat but when you can’t see it you’ve only got your taste buds to tell you what it is, bizarre!!

Even better, don’t tell them what it is, it makes the experience even more amazing. Have a look at their website.

What is the maximum number of teams you should have in an NL Only Fantasy Baseball League?

Posted on April 25th, 2011 by admin

Someone asked me to join a fantasy baseball league and I did. I don’t have much experience with fantasy league baseball, but we have 12 teams and there is little that you can do during the season to improve your team. Obviously, you can try to trade with other players, but nobody wants to give up their good players for your bad ones. I think they should expand to NL and AL. Any thoughts?

I like the idea of a NL only league, but the limit would be about 8 teams. More than that and it would need to be all of baseball. Of course I don’t know how you’d change once the season has started.

What new team building activities are there?

Posted on April 23rd, 2011 by admin

I’m looking for something new and innovative for a team of around 20 people within two hours of London. We’ve done most activities commonly on offer and whatever we choose needs to have tangible team building benefits as well as be enjoyable.

I went to a leadership class one time. The most interesting thing that they did was a trust walk. You match in pairs and it would really be interesting if it was people from different parts of the company or adversaries. One is blindfolded and the other takes the person around for a period of time. Then they reverse their roles. It was interesting to hear the comments afterwords as we discussed the effects. To some people it was life changing. To others it was a nice experience. What it was, was a simple, cheap, character building, wall breaking experience for many. One man did not trust women. Who picks him – a woman. He spend the time waiting to get hurt. Nothing bad happened and they parted. He was having trouble with his wife and decided to address the issue as soon as he got home. If the wife did not listen, he was going to find his partner. Many others had lesser effects even me.

In the interest of parity, should a team down by 5 goals get an extra skater?

Posted on April 18th, 2011 by admin

Parity, LITY, parity.

If they don’t get an extra skater, do fans get free beer?

Nahhhh…I’m more a fan of the "dump a pail of pucks on the ice so everyone has (at least) one" and see what happens….I’m all for the free beer thing though…

If you played on the Portugal national team and scored two goals in the final and CR 7 scored no goals?

Posted on April 15th, 2011 by admin

How much media attention do you think will still be on CR7 even though he didn’t do anything in the finals.. How many girls would go = OMG i cant believe CR7 won the world cup, damn he so sexy like dumb girls think, and your the hero but the media is focus with CR7 and him holding the trophy while your off in his shadow, would you be upset?
Fuck you slut!

Well there usually are some players that might get more attention than those whose work goes unnoticed like Forlan, Ozil, Muller, Iniesta, Xavi from this WC to give a few examples. Ronaldo is role model outside the pitch as well as a great player on the pitch (i hate his arrogance though). A knowledgeable football fan/journalist would know the difference between someone else scoring in the final for Portugal and not CR but others like you said, girls and others that know nothing about the game would concentrate on CR. If i’m playing football, i want to be talked up by people that know about the game so i wouldn’t feel that bad. But you know something, i would hate to have CR as teammate.

How can I pump up my soccer team with a gift before a game?

Posted on April 13th, 2011 by admin

I would like to MAKE a gift for each of the players, preferably one that’s inexpensive and quick/easy to make. Any ideas? This is a high school girls’ soccer team that likes a mixture of girly/sporty stuff. I’m drawing such a blank right now, any help is appreciated, thank you!

You could make small soccer beads (for arms and neck). Beads are kinda girly (lol) and they could wear it during the match symbolising a connection and unity within the team .
