How does an animation team work?

Does each person work on a scene? Cause I don’t see how each animator can draw alike, nearly every artist has a certain difference in their style.
Animators are trained to be able to draw characters to spec. The character designers prepare model sheets, and every animator must draw the characters to fit those exact specifications. Maquettes (little statues/figurines) of the characters are often provided for visual reference. Key animators are assigned certain scenes to draw, and they draw the main poses. Tweeners, usually animators still sort of in training, draw the transitional frames between those main poses.
Or at least that’s the way it used to work before CGI and computer animation. Some tweening is probably done digitally now.
While the art is the same, pros can recognize the individual animation styles of various animators.
