What city are the Arizona Cardinals football team from?

Posted on June 7th, 2010 by admin

I’ve noticed that the Cardinals are the only football team that says the state in the name.
Are there any other football teams that have the state name instead of the city?
Why are they called the Arizona Cardinals and not from the city they are from?

lol…this is a great question and not many people know the answer….
there are other teams with state names. \ the AZ Cardinals were first called the phoenix cardnials..( I still have that t-shirt) it’s an oldie but goody.. although there name was phoenix cardinals they played in Tempe,AZ. (sundevil staduim wheww!!!)

the owners then relized (as other teams with the same story) If they change the name to repensent the state you can "BLACK OUT" the whole state if attendence is poor.
if it is a city name, you can only block the tv channels for that city only. I would travel 100 miles out of phonenix just to see the game in tv (back in the old days) gotta love the Bidwells!!!!

so to answer your question…greedy NFL Owners do it to get you to the game and spend money. otherwise you’ll just sit at home and watch it on t.v

what is the best way to Raise money for a Womens Pro Football Team sponsors or investors?

Posted on May 29th, 2010 by admin

I am trying to buy a license from the Independent Womens Football league. I have to raise money to do this. What do you think the best way is to do this?

This is a Womens Pro Tackle Football Team and I need help raising money to do so. It can be a lucrative investment. Almost every city in the country has one. I want a quality one in mine. Any creative Idea’s on how to do this?

You have to find people who love sports, and who are willing to invest in sports even in the face of long odds.

It’s not an easy task.

Start with coaches … high school, college, pro … whomever is in your market. Ask them who their big supporters are … tell them why, don’t try to hide anything. They will help you find the money.

good luck.

Who was the first player to become the captain of the English football team whilst playing abroad?

Posted on May 27th, 2010 by admin

Who was the first player to become the captain of the English football team whilst playing for a domestic team not in England?

Not 100% on this but I’ll say Kevin Keegan
He captained England on May 31, 1977. By this time he was officially on the books of Hamburger SV as he played his final match with Liverpool six days earlier in the European Cup final.
