What university in Florida has a soccer team and an architecture program?

Posted on May 24th, 2010 by admin

Im doing a project for one of my classes about what college we wanted to go to but i cant find any colleges that have both a soccer team and an architecture program.

Well, Florida State has a female soccer program, and I’ve heard wonders about their architecture program, so that’s a good place to start.

If you are really good at a competitive soccer team and college team, will you have a shot at Europe soccer?

Posted on May 21st, 2010 by admin

I have played in soccer recreational leagues and one tournament scoring at least one goal per game. I’m going to tryout for the Chicago Fire Juniors and/or my High School team and I will play college soccer when i graduating from high school. If I’m really good in those teams and after i graduate from college, will I have a shot at a tryout/trial in England, France, Spain, and other really good countries in Europe.

If you are good enough and make a name for yourself, then yes. The competition is really fierce with players from all over the world wanting a shot at the big time. If you get offers from a lesser European league then you should accept them, since there is a greater chance you will get noticed playing in Europe than in the US. Although it is changing slowly, Europeans generally don’t take American players too seriously. Train and play hard, and good luck.

The Afghan National Team started their 2010 World Cup campaign against Syria in Damascus on October 8, 2007. The game ended in a 3-0 Syrian victory, but after 30 years of war and chaos, Afghanistan’s soccer team is rebounding and rebuilding. What would you choose, debate society or the soccer team?

Posted on May 17th, 2010 by admin

I’ve joined 2 clubs in school, one is the debate club and the other is soccer team. But they have the same schedule of meetings. And it’s very hard for me to drop one of them because I want both equally, what could I do?

My take is that the soccer team will provide you with life experiences that can mold your view of the world and establish your abilities to work and cooperate with a team while suffering and enjoying real life defeats and successes.

The debate team can help you develop interpersonal skills that are required to survive in today’s society.

However, to me, the debate team only contemplates life. The soccer team represents an opportunity to experience life at the purest level.

Your choice.

Best way to get on a college soccer team?

Posted on May 14th, 2010 by admin

I am a senoir and am looking to play college soccer. I started playing the game last August and am now a starter for my varsity team. I only have scored 2 goals in 7 games this season. I am a decent player.

What is the best way to get noticed or to get on to a college soccer team?

Your going to hear it over and over again but you need to focus and train hard. Is your college soccor dream a realistic one or no? If you honestly believe you have the skill to play college soccer then you need to spend alot of time practicing. You have to eat, sleep, breathe, live soccer until your noticed. If you are in a large school with alot of players and you made varsity chances are that you will be noticed. If you are in a small school and hardly nobody even attends the games then you might be S.O.L.. If you don’t get picked up for a scholarship then you must be ready to bring your A game at tryouts. Think back to practice, do you wine because your feet hurt or because practice is too hard? You need to give all that you can. How long is practice, how long are games? Not too long compared to the rest of time you have in a day, so give it your all during practice and games because you have the rest of the day to relax. If you can’t commit 100% to soccer then you won’t make it past high school. You can’t beat raw talent and hard work, trust me.

What soccer position would you rather have on your team?

Posted on May 14th, 2010 by admin

Lets say on your soccer team you have a HORRIBLE forward and a HORRIBLE center mid. You’v just been offered an AWESOME forward (think of the forward that you think is best in the world imagine its him), or an AWESOME center mid (think of the center mid that you think is best in the world imagine its him) which one would you sign?!?! WHY?!?!

Center Mid.

Without a center midfielder there is no one that can play the ball and anything that goes forward are long balls from the back. A Midfielder links up play between defenders and strikers they move the ball around. Look at Liverpool took out the guy that handles the ball in the middle (Alonso) and there is no link up play with the forwards.

An amateur forward can score goals with a good midfielder. Any sort of striker will have lots of shots on goal with a good midfielder.

Here in Australia, perfect example. In 2005/06 a team with no recognized midfielder scored 25 goals in 21 games. The year after, they bought in a brazilian midfielder and they scored 42 goals in 21 league games and they scored 7 goals in 3 finals games. With the same strikers, in 2005/06 the two strikers finished on 11 goals. In 2006/07 they finished on 22 goals.
