Does anybody have any ideas of what to include to make it ‘interactive’ and also what type of work to put up on it?

The theme is team building and id like to show pictures of what the children have done in their group activities.

You could make a stair case of empty blocks that would lead to a reward and each stair step would need to be filled with a picture of the class working together as a team. Once the stairs are filled with their pictures then they get the reward. You can speak to the class about how they will have to work as a team to climb the staircase and without team work they will never get there. I would recommend letting the students pick the reward so it is more intriguing to them and they will work harder to reach it. They may even come up with ideas and activities on how to work as a team so they will get their picture taken for the staircase. Good luck!

i am drum major for a small (40-55) sized marching band, but i need some good team building ideas that wont be brushed off as "lame" by the other marching band members.

our band plays a game where everyone on your teem hold hands, and you have to go through a hoola-hoop without letting go. once you are through the hoop, you run to the end of the line. you can’t drop the hoop or let go. and you have to try to make it down the field.

we also have the game where you stand in a circle and then everybody sits down on each other’s lap. physics makes it so that you don’t just fall over randomly, and you do little things until one team is left standing "sitting". such as, hold out your left arm, now your right, put out the foot that is on the outside of the circle. sin the hokey pokey, do the hokey pokey and bounce at the "do the hokey pokey" part.

the last one that i can think of is having your teams spell out words with their bodies. like make the letters, and at the end the whole band spells out your school. like our band spells out golden wave, because we are the golden wave marching band:)

We will be doing a company picnic and would like to incorporate some team building exercises to loosen everyone up and allow them to get to know each other better. Are there any suggestions? Any exercises that work better than others? I would really appreciate it!

Team building is difficult with that size of a group. It would be easier within departments…

Venue needs to be in central London or close to main line station

How about Le Dans Noir? It’s a restaurant where you experience eating in pitch black! Its fantastic and they do corporate events.

We went as a couple yet have never spoken to as many people we didn’t know even though we couldn’t see them so would think all your colleauges would have a great time. I chose the menu where you didn’t know what you would get, and it really tests your taste buds, it was nothing weird that you wouldn’t want to eat but when you can’t see it you’ve only got your taste buds to tell you what it is, bizarre!!

Even better, don’t tell them what it is, it makes the experience even more amazing. Have a look at their website.

I’m looking for something new and innovative for a team of around 20 people within two hours of London. We’ve done most activities commonly on offer and whatever we choose needs to have tangible team building benefits as well as be enjoyable.

I went to a leadership class one time. The most interesting thing that they did was a trust walk. You match in pairs and it would really be interesting if it was people from different parts of the company or adversaries. One is blindfolded and the other takes the person around for a period of time. Then they reverse their roles. It was interesting to hear the comments afterwords as we discussed the effects. To some people it was life changing. To others it was a nice experience. What it was, was a simple, cheap, character building, wall breaking experience for many. One man did not trust women. Who picks him – a woman. He spend the time waiting to get hurt. Nothing bad happened and they parted. He was having trouble with his wife and decided to address the issue as soon as he got home. If the wife did not listen, he was going to find his partner. Many others had lesser effects even me.
