My supervisor has given me six days to come up with a team-building activity for 20 people, with a very tight budget. The activity should emphasise teamwork, trust, and communication.
I don’t know, I think maybe I’m in a small panic due to the short period of time I’ve got to put this together, but I cannot think of anything!!!
Do you have any ideas PUH-LEEZE???
Well, I am not sure what age group you are working with, but a good team building activity I use with the adolescents I work with is BUILDING A BRIDGE.
It can be very cheap. I give them a lot of random art supplies… pipe cleaners, paper towel rolls, yarn, etc. Using them, they have to build a bridge from one place to another, and also make a small representation of themselves to place somehwere on the finished bridge.
You can come up with different variations as to where you want to bridge to lead to/from… etc, but I have found this activity usually goes over very well, and addresses all the points you mentioned.
Best of luck!
