Nike, Paris Soccer Club Face Trial Over Player Payments

March 15 (Bloomberg) — Bloomberg’s Isabelle Mas reports on the involvement of Nike Inc. and Paris Saint-Germain soccer club in a French criminal trial over payments made to soccer players.
Nike’s French unit is accused of taking part in a scheme to hide payments used to entice players to the Paris Saint-Germain soccer team while avoiding employment taxes. The shoemaker is on trial along with two former Nike executives, Paris Saint-Germain soccer club, former club officials and player agents. Andrea Catherwood also speaks.
