French Football Team – Training ground spat – Raymond Domenech press statement – World Cup 2010

France’s players refused to train on Sunday following Nicolas Anelka’s expulsion from the squad for verbally abusing coach Raymond Domenech.

Domenech read out a statement from his squad which said: “The French Football Federation did not at any time try to protect the group.

“To show our opposition to the decision taken [on Anelka], all the players decided not to take part in training.”

The French Football Federation’s managing director subsequently quit.

The end of the video include participant comments and Mike Mulvihill’s summary of our debriefing of this session. This recording was taken during the bi-weekly Learning Innovation Meetup at TBD Consulting’s island on Aug. 19, 2009.

This effort was the result of Mike and Mike brainstorming over coffee late one evening regarding how they could blend their two skillsets to create something unique and innovative.
