My current team at work is the best team i have been part of. I am partly leading by officially not. Lessons I learnt:
1. Everybody needs recognition & praise from everybody … not just from their managers & in front of their managers but everybody. Praising them genuinely for genuine reasons not only brings the motivation but also builds up the team morale & culture.
2. Everybody has a different goal. As a leader, one needs to be creative & align the common goal/vision with everybody’s.
